These lyrics link in extremely well with our styling and setting of our music video. It links in with the relationship of the man and woman in the video, as when he dies, she feels that she has died as well, as she has lost a part of her life. This links in greatly with the lyric 'And we'll die, we'll die together'.
Also, judging by the actually video for Muse's Neutron Star Collision, it is about war and fighting, which our video is also based around, just with a different take on which war. Our video is set in the 1940's, and is therefore set around World War II, whereas Muse's song was made for the film 'Twilight', a film based around vampires, and is therefore set in a mystery fictional war.
After talking to friends and family, and looking on Muse's fan website, it is obvious that the key demographic we should be aiming for in our music video should be 14-25 year old males, as these are the stereotypical demographics for Muse's music. We will be doing this by using a more ballad type feel in our video, a slower and more grown up and mature version of the alternative rock/ punk narrative.

Make-up & hair styling
The women in our music video will be wearing red lip stick, and a small ammount of dark eye make-up. We will also have curly hair and dark, thick eye brows. As you can see, the pictures of our make-up links into that of the make-up worn by women in the 1940's.

Shooting script
-Shots of man and woman before marriage; located in garden, and living room. Shots of hugging and laughing etc.
-Wedding scene; located in garden, the words 'I do' said. Close up of husband and wife smiling at eachother and hugging.
-Argument scene; located in living room, when the wife finds out her husband is going away to war, slow motion. The wife tells her husband she is pregnant.
-Man leaves to go to war; location not yet decided, he takes one last look at his wife and leaves out of the door.
-Shots of wife and sister-in-law worrying; located in living room. Looking at pictures of the husband, the two of them crying and hugging eachother.
-Pregnancy and baby; The wife's pregnancy starts to show, only a few shots of pregnancy. Then shots of her holding her baby.
-The terrible news; located at front door, the wife opens the door to be told her husband is dead, and she breaks down. Very short scene but dramatic and effective.
-Grief; located in the living room, widow and sister-in-law breaking down. Sister-in-law taking care of the baby.

Clothing and 1940's fashion
The clothes have been chosen for the video, they are very much in the 1940's style - Long dresses, and non-revealing.
In Muse's video for 'Neutron star Collision', the clothes worn were very up to date with today's fashion - as it was set in the 2000's. This is why we want to make our 1940's video as realistic as possible, clothes and all. It is interesting the way that Muse's video is so different in styling than what ours will be, even though they are both focused around love and war. This just goes to show how much life has changed, but how some aspects never will.

Initial planning
Our music video will be edited in black and white, to give an older effect to the film, as we are setting it in the early 1940's.
The story line will be about a young couple during WW2, enjoying their married life until the time comes for the husband to go to war. The wife is given the tragic news that her husband has been killed, and has to rely on her sister-in-law to hold her and her family together.
We will be using clothes similar to that of the 40's era, with long dresses and curled hair for the women, and tailored suits and hats for the men, and ofcorse the army uniform the husband is sent off to war in.
Luckily, the houses of myself and another person in my group are perfect to use in our video. The scenes for the short wedding scene and the front of the house have been picked.

Following on the definite choice of our song - 'Neutron Star Collision' by Muse. An email has been sent to their record company - Warner Bros, stating that if nothing has been heard back from them in two weeks time saying that they would prefer for us not to use their song, we shall proceed with using their song.
So now the planning for the video can continue.

Ideas and choosing song
We are hoping to use the song Neutron Star Collision by Muse, an email has been sent to their company but nothing has been sent back! ..So change of song? Another week and we'll have to change the track we're using.
Other songs on the list include;
- Milkshake by Calvary Kids
&
- Build me up buttercup by The Foundations
The only problem with these two song choices, is that the idea for our music video is very Art-Housey and creative, and the songs don't really fit in with that theme.
We got the idea for a strange, art-housey theme from Chris Cunningham's music video's. In particular the videos he directed for the band Aphex-twin.
